Gay Festivals Calendar 2026: The Ultimate Guide to Queer-Friendly Festivals & LGBTQ+ Events Worldwide

The incredible response to our Pride Calendar posts made one thing clear: our community is eager to know where and when the best queer celebrations are happening. And we get it...we want to be there too!

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™ve decided to gather all the must-attend LGBTQ+ festivals worldwide into one master calendar.

Click here or scroll the interactive calendar below to explore events visually

๐Ÿ‘‰ Important Note: This list is specifically focused on music, culture, and party festivals. It is not about LGBTQ+ film festivals, art festivals, or Pride Parades alone. We've already created dedicated calendars for those (see the list below ๐Ÿ‘‡). While some of these festivals coincide with local Pride events, they stand out as major, distinct attractions.

Explore Our Full Regional Pride Calendars

Weโ€™ve already built comprehensive guides for every corner of the globe:

...and our guide to carnival events happening around the world.

We've also intentionally excluded gay ski weeks (but don't fret, we have a dedicated post for those right here).

This guide is all about summer energy: think beats, beaches, and vibrant culture. These are the iconic events where global queer communities unite to celebrate our joy, freedom, and spirit.

Our mission? To inspire you...and ourselves...to travel the world and experience that unparalleled queer joy, one incredible festival at a time.

Your Global Gay & Queer Festivals Calendar for 2026 ๐Ÿ“…

To begin with, take a look at our global festival calendar for 2025. These mark the dates of each festivalโ€™s main week or main event days. Most of them happen between spring and late summer, but youโ€™ll also find a few special events in winter (yes, queer joy never takes a season off ๐ŸŒˆ).

If you are looking for specific dates, a short description, and where to stay nearby, just scroll down...youโ€™ll find each individual festival listed below.

โœˆ๏ธ Important Note: Festival dates are subject to change and some are still to be confirmed (TBC). Always double-check the official festival websites before booking any travel.

Gay & Queer Festivals: By Continent and Country ๐ŸŒ

To make life easier, we grouped festivals by continent and country and listed them in chronological order. This way, you can plan your trip smoothly... and maybe even connect two festivals into one journey ๐Ÿ˜˜.

Spotlight of the Year: Detour Discotheque ๐Ÿชฉ

This one truly deserves the spotlight. Detour Discotheque is the freshest of festivals inspired by the golden age of disco, when Studio 54 and the New York underground scene ruled the night.

Unlike any other queer festival, Detour Discotheque is always on the move, each edition takes place in a different off-the-beaten-path location around the world. Think secret villas, beach clubs, and beautiful venues surrounded by nature (they once held it in a remote Icelandic fishing village). The music? Groovy, soulful, and always with that 70s sparkle.

We joined the 2025 edition in a Masseria in Salento (Apulia ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น), and honestly...it was unforgettable. Exclusive, stylish, and full of good energy. It didn't take long before the crowd felt like family, the DJs were fire, and the location? Chefโ€™s kiss.

If youโ€™re into unique atmospheres, all different types of people, and want something more intimate than the typical massive circuit festivals, this is the one for you.
